ObjectiveEvidence from several clinical trials in patients with coronary heart disease (CHD) suggests that depression that does not respond to treatment is associated with a particularly high risk of adverse cardiac outcomes. The purpose of this study was to determine whether obstructive sleep apnea/hypopnea (OSAH) is associated with a poor response to antidepressant medication in patients with CHD.
