Culture Awareness in Literature Learning

摘要

Language is the carrier of culture. In order to use language in an accurate and appropriate way, learners must understand the culture of the target language. This thesis discusses the importance of cultural awareness for foreign language learners, aiming at evoking English educators and learners' attention to cultural awareness, especially in literature.
