In 1980 a new species of chigger mite was collected off nasal cavity of Rattusfulvescens, from Wuyishan, Fujian Province. It belongs to the genus Doloisiawith its specific description as follows: Doloisia wuyishana, sp. nov. (Figs, I) Larva white when alive.
