Endogenous Wind is usually considered the basic cause of stroke, and Wind-extinguishing the basic therapeutic principle. Based on understanding of stroke by various doctors of successive dynasties, research findings of modern medicine and impact of modern medical treatments on syndrome differentiation, this article suggests some thoughts and methods to cure stroke: At the acute stage of stroke, the treatment should focus on Wind-extinguishing . During the rehabilitation period or sequela period, the pathogene-sis is mainly deficiency combined with stagnation and phlegm even though there are symptoms of shaking and tremor. Therefore one should not just use " Wind-extinguishing" but to treat the disease based on an overall analysis of the illness and the patient' s condition.%对于"中风"病证,一般以"内风"立论,临床治疗强调"熄风".作者通过复习历代医家对中风的认识,结合临床,结合现代医学对中风的研究,以及现代医学治疗对患者辨证的影响,提出中风急性阶段显示"风"的表现,治以"熄风"为主,恢复期及后遗症期尽管有摇动震颤的表现,仍是以虚挟瘀挟痰为主,因此治疗时就不能只强调"熄风",而应针对中风的真正病因病机辨证施治.
