This paper, setting out from the historical background and its breakthrough point, analyses the fundamental connotations, its epistemological thinking as well as its theoretical objectives;laying much emphasis on its critical nature,this article also expounds on the relationship between his theory and modernism and post - modernism. In the end, it elaborates his philosophical thinking about rational reconstruction, and further discusses the negotiation theory - an extended part of his theory.
