Based on the Diamond Model from Michael Porter, the China Diamond Model was developed to specifically study the mo-tivation, entry mode and competiveness of internationalization of Chinese manufacturing firms. Market demand, host environment, corporate DNA and government intention are identified as the key factors, they act together with two cofactors industrial environment and growth opportunity to define the internationalization of Chinese manufacturing firms. China Diamond Model is a valuable tool for not only the interpretation of current internationalization market entry strategy, but also the establishment of new strategies.
