Foreign investment has made huge contributions in China automobile industry development. This research sifts through the history of China automobile industry and analyzes positive as well as negative influences of the introduction of foreign investment and technologies in industry. It then discusses policy implications in this area, including enhancing governmental regulation in terms of making market rules and policies better, encouraging domestic brands - especially those owned by domestic private companies, promoting export - oriented car and car parts manufacturing and active PR campaign for domestic brands.
