Using the method of comparative and empirical studies,this paper discusses the significance of expanding the children’s service in university libraries of Chongqing University Town,analyzes the necessity and feasibility of devel-oping the children’s service in university libraries of Chongqing University Town,and according to the actual situation of rapid response to readers’information service by Chongqing University of Science and Technology,expounds the current status of developing children’s reading service and the conditions of expanding children’s service in university libraries of Chongqing University Town,and probes into the children’s service mode and service guarantee in university libraries of Chongqing University Town,which can provide reference and promotion for the development of children’s service in uni-versity libraries of Chongqing University Town.%采用比较研究和实证研究的方式,讨论了重庆市大学城高校图书馆扩展儿童服务的意义,分析了重庆市高校图书馆开展儿童服务的必要性和可行性,根据重庆科技学院快速响应读者信息服务实际情况,阐述了重庆市大学城高校图书馆开展儿童阅览服务现状和扩展儿童服务具备的条件,探讨了重庆市大学城高校图书馆儿童服务模式和服务保障,对重庆市大学城高校图书馆开展书香儿童服务具有参考促进作用.
