贾而好儒——从教育和文化活动两方面探析18世纪扬州盐商“从儒”现象

摘要

18世纪以＂盐商＂为主体的新兴商人阶级在思想、文化方面对18世纪的中国起到里程碑式的影响。盐商的＂从儒＂现象客观上促进了18世纪中国社会＂官、商、儒＂的联系、拉近大众文化与精英文化的距离,导致社会＂贾而好儒、儒而尚贾＂风气的繁荣。本文将从＂贾而好儒＂的角度为切入点,从教育和文化活动两方面剖析18世纪扬州盐商的＂从儒＂现象。%The oncoming merchant class with "salt merchant" as the main part in the 18th century is of a milestone influence on ideology and culture in the 18th century China.The phenomenon of salt merchants'"undertaking Confucianism" objectively promoted the relationship among the government,the merchant and the scholar,and it shortened the gap between pop culture and elite culture as well.With the perspective of "from a merchant to a scholar" as the breakthrough point,this paper expounds the phenomenon of Yangzhou salt merchants' "undertaking Confucianism" in the 18th century from the perspective of education and cultural activity.
