The one-sided understanding of the employment-ori-ented school-running policy among the current higher vocational colleges has led to some problems:simple skills are emphasized and comprehensive quality is ignored in higher vocational educa-tion;the quantity of employment is emphasized and the quality is ignored;mechanical training is emphasized and the development and creation is ignored. Higher vocational education should be based on its own basic characteristics, construct a talent cultiva-tion mode meeting both market demand and student demand, create a multi-level practical teaching system with the combina-tion of skills training and design and research, and establish a lifelong vocational education system with the combination of col-lege education and in-service education.%当前高职院校片面理解以就业为导向的办学方针，导致高职教育偏重简单技能忽视综合素质，偏重就业数量忽视就业质量，偏重机械训练忽视开发创造。高职教育应该基于自身的基本特征，构建市场需求和学生需求相结合的人才培养模式，创设技能训练和设计研发相结合的多层次实践教学体系，建立职前学校教育与职后教育相结合的终身职业教育体系。
