Objective To investigate the smoking status of oncologists in major hospitals of Sichuan province,and analyzed their attitude about smoking cognition and ability of providing smoking cessation services.Methods This study used a cross-sectional survey method.Data of oncologists in 22 health centers of Sichuan province were collected and analyzed.The survey included the smok-ing status of oncologists,the awareness of oncologists'smoking cognition and the ability of providing smoking cessation services.Results The total smoking rate of the oncologists was 33.5%.About 4.5% of the oncologists did not pay attention to the health dangers of smoking,and even 10.9% of the oncologists believed that tobacco was not relevant to cancer.However,40% of the doctors explained the risks of smoking to over 70% of their patients,18.3% of the doctors did not commonly recommend quitting smoking,and 25.6% of the doctors said that they did not explain the relationship between smoking and cancer to junior doctors or students.Up to 69.6% of the doctors did not receive a special training on how to help patients quit smoking.Conclusion The oncologists'awareness of tobacco con-trol and smoking cessation service capacity are need to be strengthened in our province.Authority should strengthen adequate training to improve the capability and quality of services to help patients quit smoking.%目的 调查四川省肿瘤专科医生的吸烟状况、禁烟态度及其戒烟服务能力,探索影响戒烟服务能力的因素.方法 采用横断面调查方法,通过问卷对四川省22家医院的肿瘤专科医生进行调查,调查内容包括:被调查医生的吸烟状况、医生控烟意识以及控烟服务能力.结果 我省肿瘤科医师总吸烟率为33.5%.约4.5%的医生不关注吸烟对健康的损害,甚至有10.9%的医生认为烟草和癌症无关.但仅有40%医生给超过70%的患者讲解过吸烟危害,约18.3%的医生没有常规性地建议患者戒烟;有25.6%的肿瘤专科医生没有向下级医生或者学生讲解吸烟与癌症的相关性,高达69.6%的医生没有接受过关于"如何帮助癌症患者戒烟"的专门训练.结论 我省肿瘤专科医生控烟意识不强,控烟服务能力不足,有必要加大对肿瘤专科医生戒烟、控烟服务能力的培训.
