In recent years,more and more senior high school students pursue higher education overseas,it is therefore necessary for them to attain a required score in IELTS.However,most students in Grade 10 are on various levels of English proficiency,there⁃by causing many barriers.This paper explores the effectiveness of layering IELTS curriculum based on four factors-students,teach⁃ing materials,teaching methods,and assignment.It tries to adopt layered curriculum as the teaching model to solve problems in IELTS teaching and offer some suggestions to IELTS training teachers.
