This essay intends to offer an ecocritical study of Wordsworth ' s poems Hart-leap Well and Michael from the perspective of ecocriticism, probing the profound ecological implications reflected in them, which are ecological equality between nature and man and the moral responsibility towards the land instead of the materials interests.Through analyzing these two poems, the image of Wordsworth as a worshipper of nature is fully illustrated and it also makes people ponder over their attitudes towards nature in modern society.
