On Death:A Stylistic Analysis of“The Building” by Philip Larkin

摘要

Adopting a stylistic approach, this paper tries to figure out the theme of Larkin's "The building" by means of observing it on three different levels: aural, grammatical, and semantic, offering an example of applying stylistic methods to the study of poetry.
