Test Review and Evaluation: Pearson Test of English-Academic

摘要

This article is a test review of Pearson Test of English-Academic(PTE-Academic).Being a norm-referenced,largescale test,PTE-Academic is developed via the combination of integrative and communicative approaches.As a high-stake and automated scoring test,PTE-Academic is reported to have a high reliability for the overall test as well as for measuring the communicative abilities of listening,speaking,reading and writing.The authenticity of test materials ensures the relevance and coverage of test content,and the comparative studies between PTE-Academic and CEF,TOEFL,IELTS,etc.validate the concurrent validity and predicative validity of PTE-Academic.
