Joycing Parody and Its Usage in'Ithaca'

Focusing on parody,this paper tries to explore“Joycing”parody and mainly investigates its usage in Ulysses’s seventeenth chapter,‘Ithaca’.Linda Hutcheon indicates that parody is one of the techniques for writers to“trans-contextualize”the past and then go off with their own ideological ends.[8]Joyce writes beyond the past and creates his own model of writing in the literature by employing the technique of parody tactfully.
