In teaching Chinese as second language, teaching tones is very important. Tonal acquisition is quite difficult in learning Chinese as foreign language for the learners especially those from non-tonal language speaking countries . The order of tonal acqui?sition of learners with different mother tongue is not the same. It seems there is no identical order. This paper studies the tonal ac?quisition of Korean students, hoping to discover the order of tonal acquisition and to offer evidence of the factors that influence ton?al acquisition. It is found that Yangping and Shangsheng are more difficult for Korean speaking students to learn than Yinping and Qusheng. There is a positive relevance between learning span and the tonal acquisition. Tonal acquisition has no relevance with learners'sex and age.
