Nowadays, information dissemination is more extensive and rapid through social media. This has made the online world more advantageous, and brings media information in different styles to English teaching. Such teaching methods and modes have brought different impacts on students' learning English. However, there has been a significant inconsistency between teaching and learning. This article covers these issues and further analyses the English teaching methods under the WeChat public account. Through investigation, it had also been discussed the methods and strategies for English teaching under the WeChat public account and how it has a great influence on the needs of college students for learning English at this stage.
