On the Themes of Alfred Tennyson's Ulysses

The poem Ulysses written by poet Alfred Tennyson presented an image of a powerful hero with great aspirations.This paper focuses on discussing the themes of the poem based on textual analysis and Tennyson’s personal experience.Tennyson uses the hero to express his own aspiration for exploring the unknown world,recovery from the shadow of death and eternal pursuit for art.Furthermore,it conveys the hope of the poet and the realistic significance of the work by clarifying these themes.
