Moll Flanders has been one of the greatest works in the 18 th century of English. It is valuable to reveal the reality and the status of women in that age. This paper uses the theory of ethical literary criticism to appreciate the story of Moll. It shows and explains the women's circumstance and her life experience in 17-18 th century by analyzing the writing technique, different characters. In this way, people can understand the reasons of the event and people's fates better. At last, the paper will advocate that morality is more willing to forgive the people who have contrition.
