Domestication and Foreignization in the Translation of the Stylistic Devic-es-A Comparative Study of Two English Versions of Mencius

The debate between domestication and foreignization translation strategies has aroused scholars ’research interest for a long time. This thesis makes a comparative study on the application of domestication and foreignization of the Stylistic Devices in Legge’s and Zhao Zhentao’s translated versions of Mencius.
