R. Martin, is based on the framework of the Systemic Functional Lin⁃guistics, which extends the interpersonal meaning. This paper applies the theoretical framework of attitude system in Appraisal Theory to deeply analyze the distribution of attitude resources in the speech, trying to explore how Michelle organizes the attitude resources in her speech to express her attitudes, stances and viewpoints in order to achieve the great success. It is found that mas⁃sive explicit positive attitudinal resources are used by the speaker and more attitudinal resources of Judgment are adopted than those of Affect and Appreciation. By analyzing attitudinal resources in the speech, people are able to further understand the Ap⁃praisal Theory and the interpersonal meaning the speech reveals.
