The Analysis of“Chen Ou Style”:A Memetic Perspective

“Chen Ou Style”is one of the most popular discourses and widely used by many people in communication. In this pa⁃per, it is analyzed from a memetics perspective that regards“Chen Ou Style”as a strong meme. The purpose is to find out the in⁃ternal generating mechanism for a meme to become successful, to reveal the evolution process of language, and to provide some useful guidelines and references for better language use. It is concluded that the replication and transmission of“Chen Ou Style”indicates the existence of language memes, and memetics provides a new perspective for the analysis of language imitation, trans⁃mission, change and development.
