The Afghan-born American writer,Khaled Hosseini's first two novels The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns talk about the stories related to Afghanistan. They became very popular immediately after they were published. Both the novels of Hosseini are written in the backdrop of war.The wars in Afghanistan left a deep impression on Hosseini's mind.It is very nat-ural that a writer is affected by such changes and he reflects upon them in his writings.Therefore,by using qualitative approach, this research work mainly focuses on investigating how wars affected Afghanistan, and in turn a writer Khaled Hosseini and his works.
