The features and application ranges of various kinds of bridge abutment types of expressway bridge in mountainous area are analyzed in detail, and adjustment measures to local conditions and comprehensive design for model selection of expressway bridge abutment in mountainous area are determined. Based on the principle of concrete analysis of concrete conditions, reasonable types of bridge abutment are selected from the safer and more economic viewpoint.
