Cd0.5Zn0.5S and Mg2+ doped (0.4%, mole percent) 0. 4%Mg/Cdo.5Zno.5S solid solution photo-catalysts were prepared hydrothermally and characterized by XRD, UV-Vis absorption spectroscope and e-lectrochemistry. Their photo activities were evaluated by production of hydrogen from water under visible light (X^420 nm) irradiation. The results show that Mg2+ doping improves the separation efficiency of photo-generated electrons and holes in Cd0.sZn0.5S solid solution, and the visible light photo-catalytic activity of 0. 4%Mg/Cd0. sZno. sS solid solution was markedly enhanced.%采用水热法制备了Cd0.5Zn05S和掺杂0.4%(摩尔百分数)Mg2+的0.4% Mg/Cd0.5Zn0.5S固溶体光催化剂.采用UV-Vis、XRD以及电化学等手段对催化剂进行表征,并考查催化剂可见光下分解水制氢的活性.结果表明:Mg2+掺杂提高了Cd0.5Zn0.5S固溶体中光生电子和空穴的分离效率,大大提高了Cd0.5Zn0.5S固溶体光催化制氢的活性.
