Since the early 1990s when Mr. Wang Caigui promoted children's classic-reading in Taiwan, classic-reading education has been concerned and debated. This paper reviews the development of classic-reading campaign in Taiwan, and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of classic-reading by taking the class of classic-reading in Kaohsiung city for example.
