In recent years, China's total number of hospitals and beds has been growing rapidly .However, the expansion of the scale of the hospitals is not equivalent to the expansion of benefits. Unreasonable scale not only can't bring the scale benefits, but also will produce diseconomies of scale. This paper is intended to maintain the need of keeping hospital economies of scale as a starting point, combined with the factors affecting hospital economies of scale , and discuss how to keep the economies of scale on the basis of the theory of scale economy, we can draw a conclusion that the different stage of the hospital development scale are influenced by the hospital production technology, management efficiency and the size of the market, hospitals at different stages of scale can change with special aims, and improve these factors in order to fulfill the goal of economies of scale.%近年来我国的医院总数以及床位数增长迅速,但是医院规模的扩大并不等同于效益的扩大,不合理的扩大规模不但不能带来规模效益,反而会产生规模不经济.本文以保持医院规模经济的必要性为切入点,结合影响医院规模经济的因素,从规模经济理论的角度对怎样保持规模经济进行探讨,认为医院发展规模的不同阶段分别受到医院生产技术、管理效率、市场规模等方面影响,处于不同规模状态的医院可以有针对性地改变、改善这些影响因素以达到规模经济.
