Postoperative cognitive dysfunction ( POCD ) is a common complication following major surgery. It is frequently seen in old age group and usually its effect is short-term, but in some cases, it can severely affect their life quality.Studies in recent years have found that anesthesia and surgery are important risk factors for the occurrence of POCD.In particular, inhalational anesthetics may cause the cognitive decline of the patients, though the concrete mechanism is still unclear, and it may be caused by Amyloid β accumulation , neuro-inflammation , neuronal calcium homeostasis , synaptic plasticity dysfunction and NO change following anesthesia.%术后认知功能障碍(POCD)是一种常见的术后并发症,在老年人中发病率较高,多数为一过性的,少数严重者可影响术后生活质量.
