《美的葬礼》并不是要逃离现代社会美的虚无，恰恰是对其深刻的批判：层层嵌套的影像，让我们看到了人类自身与现代社会之间的隔离与虚无；演员的柔肢曼舞，让我们看见诗歌，也看到了真正的美受到腐蚀的悲剧，以及对其再生的暗暗希望与期盼。%A Funeral of Beauty is not meant to escape the vanity of beauty in modern society but actually is a profound critique of that vanity. With its layers of images, one sees the separation between humanity itself and modern society and the vanity thereof. The dance of the performers renders poetry visible to us at the same time when we see the tragedy of how the real beauty is eroded as well as the hidden hope and expectation for its rebirth.
