加拿大不列颠哥伦比亚大学'蒲坂藏书'地方志初探

摘要

Having the largest collection of Chinese ancient books in Canada, the University of British Columbia (UBC) Library is one of top research libraries in North America, and the Puban Collection is its most important Chinese special collection. This paper aims to give a brief introduction to the chorographies of the Puban Collection, focusing on some choice ones. In general, most of the chorographies of the Puban Collection are Qing-Dynasty publications, in which one half are Tongzhi (i.e., general chorographies) and the other half are Zhuanzhi (i.e., special chorographies). These chorographies are from almost all Chinese provinces, and there are quite a lot of chorographies on Guandong province, the mountains and waters in China, and Chinese frontiers as well. Significantly, there are some precious editions, including Ming-dynasty block-printed books, Qing-dynasty manuscripts, and refined manuscripts during early Republic of China.%不列颠哥伦比亚大学图书馆是加拿大馆藏中文古籍最多的图书馆,"蒲坂藏书"是其中最重要的中文收藏.文章对"蒲坂藏书"中中国地方志之存藏情况在数据统计的基础之上作概要性介绍,并选择其中具有代表性的地方志善本进行探讨.研究表明,蒲坂地方志以清代地方志为主,通志与专志各占一半;地方志的地域覆盖面广,以广东方志、山水志为多,也注重对边疆方志的搜集;从版本学的视角看,蒲坂地方志中,明刻本、清代稿抄本、民国初年精抄本较为珍贵.
