德语成语的文化渊源及翻译策略

Language and culture are connected to each other closely. Language is not only served as a separate symbol, but also it plays a key role in a carrier of culture. Because of its long history and cultural ingredient inside, idiom is regarded as concise and cohesive pragmatic phenomenon in the language world. Unless people have thorough understanding of the cul- tural background of idiom can they achieve profound understanding of the meaning of idiom, which is a precondition for translating activities. This article, from the standpoint of culture, explores the main origin of German idiom. It mainly an- alyzes what effects the cultural German idioms have on the idiom translation and gives comparatively effective suggestions for this process. Its goal is to improve the information transmission and cultural communication between two languages through the successful translation from orinial articles to translation articles.%语言和文化两者紧密相连,语言不仅是单独的符号,更是一种文化载体。成语沉积了一个民族悠久的历史和文化成分,因此成语也被看做是一门语言中简练凝结的语用现象。只有当人们对成语的文化背景有了透彻的了解后,才有可能深刻理解这些成语的含义,这也是翻译活动的必备前提。文章以文化为视角,探究某些德语成语的来源,分析德语成语中文化因素对成语翻译的具体影响,针对这一过程提出建议,力求实现从原文到译文的成功翻译。
