The coexistence of fiction and nonfiction is a distinctive characteristic in Norman Mailer's lit-erary creation. The choice of narrative perspectives in Mailer's works objectivizes his personal experiences. The devoted data collection, field investigation and the process of conclusion based on mere facts are charac-teristics of a historian.
