作为“五四之子”，殷海光对五四运动有着独特情结，并多次著文阐述自己的“五四”观。随着国内形势与自身认知的变化，殷海光的“五四”观经历了科学民主观到自由民主观的嬗变。他对五四运动基本内涵及其与新文化运动之关系的认识与剖判，很大程度上揭橥了五四运动的整体风貌。透过殷海光之论，今人可以明晰那一代知识分子对苦难中国的忧患之思与现代追寻。%As a son of May Fourth, Yin Haiguang had a unique complex of May Fourth and has written a lot about it.
