基于MgO:LiNbO3晶体的THz波参量振荡器理论设计

     

摘要

Based on the basic principle of the stimulated ploartion scattering process, the operation characteristics of terahertz-wave parametric oscillators (TPO) using the MgO: LiNbO3 (LN) crystal, including the ability offrequency-tuning, the characteristics of THz-wave gain and absorption and the angle-tuning method, is theoretically investigated and discussed in detail.It is found that the excellent performance of LN-TPO can be achieved through the appropriate high pump power density, short cavity for TPO, optimization design crystal size, angled surface coupler (ASC), based on the characteristics of the-symmetry polariton mode and the outstanding nonlinear optical properties of Mgo: LiNbO3 crystal.%基于晶格振动模受激电磁耦子散射过程的基本原理,对由MgO:LiNbO3(LN)晶体组成的THz波参量振荡器(TPO)的频率调谐特性、增益和吸收特性以及角度匹配方式等方面进行理论研究和分析.研究结果表明,基于MgO:LiNbO3晶体A1对称性晶格振动的特点以及优良的非线性光学特性,通过采取适当提高泵浦光功率密度、缩短TPO谐振腔腔长、优化设计晶体尺寸、晶体输出端切角耦合(Angled surface Coupler,ASC)等方法,完全可以实现LN-TPO的高性能运转.
