This paper aims at elaborating on the sources, the ways of expression, and the major functions of euphemisms in English in the hope of enabling the Chinese learners of English to have a better understanding of the cultural differences between English and Chinese and the cultural infiltration in Foreign language learning, for the sake of successful language learning and social intercourse.%本文分析了英语中的委婉语的来源、表达方式和主要功能,希望中国英语学习者能够对英汉两种语言中的文化差异及外语中文化的渗透有更好的理解,最终达到成功的语言学习及社会交往.
