美国州立大学校长评价研究*--以六所州立大学为例

摘要

美国州立大学校长评价是二战后美国公立大学问责运动的产物。本文通过研究六所美国州立大学校长评价相关文件，梳理了几所州立大学校长评价的程序、内容和方法，发现美国州立大学已经建立起较为系统的、以量化为主的大学校长评价体系。州立大学校长评价体系不仅关注校长学术领导能力，而且关注校长在资源获取与管理及公共关系协调等多方面能力，校长评价呈现出公开化、多样化的特征。这对我国大学校长评价具有一定的启示。%The president evaluation of American state universities is the product of the Accountability Move-ment initiated by the public universities after World War Ⅱ. Through analyzing the relevant president evaluation documents of American state universities and sorting out the procedures,contexts and methods of the president e-valuation of state universities,this research finds that American State Universities have built up systematic and quantitative president evaluation system that not only focuses on the leadership of presidents but also their capa-bilities in acquisition and management on resources and coordination on public relations. The president evaluation of the six state universities among the examples presents to be open and diversified,which is quite significant in enlightening the president evaluation for Chinese universities.
