The characteristics of field-independent and field-dependent cognitive styles are firstly introduced in the paper. Then, in the light of the theory and framework of action research, this paper discusses the way to cultivate students’ English listening and speaking ability under the premise of respecting learners’ cognitive style differences. The teaching mode includes the problems iden-tified, the relative countermeasures offered, the program implemented, effects analyzed and properly evaluated, reflections made, and final implementation process specified.%首先介绍了场独立和场依存认知风格的特点,其次根据行动研究理论和框架,探讨如何在尊重学习者认知风格差异的前提下培养学生的英语听说能力。其教学模式包括:发现问题、提出对策、实施方案、分析评价、反思等,并给出了具体的实施过程。
