A protocol for analyzing 8 fatty acids using 5-20 mg groundnut seed tissue was described, which required 35 min for preparation at room temperature and 18 min for gas chromatography analy- sis. The results of analysis proved to be accurate and reproducible, irrespective of sampling amount and fatty acid content.
