This trend has aroused serious thinking in Afro-American writers and has strongly encouraged them to maintain national history and traditional culture by liter- ary creation. Tony Morrison is one of these writers who have achieved a lot. From the brief analysis of characters and writing style in Song of Solomn, this paper explores her devotion to maintaining and promoting unique African traditional culture in her literary creation and deep thinking about the future and destiny of Afro-Americans.
