Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common causes of death in China. According to the recent research, the diagnostic accuracy of 18F-fluorodexoxyglucose (18F-FDG) positron emission tomography (PET) remains questionable for primary HCC but seems to be more promising for predicting prognosis and monitoring therapeutic effect.
