不同《现代汉语》教材中的句型系统可分为三类：经典句型系统、“改进型”句型系统和“新建型”句型系统。“改进型”句型系统在学理上有欠考量，“新建型”句型系统内容偏难，不太适用于本科《现代汉语》的课程教学，而各种经典句型系统之间在主谓谓语句的定位等问题上存在不少分歧。通过引入“向心结构”和“离心结构”的概念，并吸收各经典句型系统之所长，试图形成更为科学且适用于本科《现代汉语》教学的经典句型系统。%The systems of sentence pattern in different Modern Chinese textbooks can be divided into three types： classical system of sentence pattern, ＂improved＂ system of sentence pattern and ＂new built＂ system of sentence pattern. The ＂improved＂ system of sentence pattern is lack in scientific principle. The contents of ＂new built＂ system of sentence pattern are so complicated for the undergraduates that the system isn＇ t adapted to the course teaching of Modern Chinese. ＇Ihere are a lot of divergences on the issues about the position of sentences with an S - P phrase as the predicate and so on among dif- ferent classical systems of sentence pattern. By means of drawing into the concepts ＂endocentric construction＂ and ＂exocen- tric construction＂, and absorbing the merits of different classical systems of sentence, this thesis tries to form a new classical system of sentence pattern which is more scientific and adaoting to the teachint, of Modern Chinese.
