外宣翻译是国家对外宣传的重要手段, 对于宣传本国文化具有重要意义, 然而各民族文化之间存在意象差异, 直接影响译者对相应文化的理解, 进而在翻译中形成文化意象的错位.文章以2017 年两会期间"龙"的校译提案为例, 调查分析外宣翻译中"dragon"是否为"龙"的合理译法.对30 名四川省两大高校的留学生以及其他外籍人士的调查结果表明"龙"与"dragon"的意象错位在历史演变过程中出现了文化消减效应, 并随着全球化的发展形成了一种冲突与融合并存的文化模式, 得出可以用"dragon"来表示"龙"的结论, 进而提出处理外宣翻译中文化意象错位的对策.%As an important approach to international promotion, foreign-oriented publicity translation plays a pivotal role in disse minating national cultures. However, as the meaning of cultural images varies in nations, the translator's understanding on relevant cultures can be affected and mismatched translation of the cultural images will be rendered. The proposal on the translation and proofreading of "Long" (龙), submitted during the two sessions of 2017, says the translation"dragon" for "Long" should be corrected. This paper further studies its reasonability by surveying 30 foreigners comprising 18 overseas students from two universities in Sichuan Province. It turns out that mismatch between"Long" and "dragon" has experienced cultural counteraction along the history, and a new cultural pattern where collision and integration coexist has taken shape under globalization. Accordingly, this paper concludes that"dragon" is a fair translation for "Long" and proposes related countermeasures against mismatched cultural images in foreign-oriented publicity translation.
