In accordance with Self-determination Theory (SDT),the present study empirically tests factors which corre-late with learning motivation of College English learners.The findings focus on the following aspects:1)Learners'gender and grades affect significantly motivation variables.2)Significant correlation is found between motivation and English a-chievement.Learning motivation variables can predict English achievement test scores significantly.3)It is discovered, with the technique of structural equation modeling conducted by AMOS 17,that the results of path analysis provides a good fit to the correlation between motivation and English achievement test scores.College English teachers should em-ploy new instructional strategy to help students strengthen autonomous motivation and internalize controlled motivation.%在自我决定理论框架下,通过量化研究,调查大学英语学习者的学习动机情况以及动机和成绩的相关程度。结果发现:1)性别和年级因素会对动机造成差异性影响;2)不同的动机类型与学习成绩有显著的相关关系,动机对学习成绩有一定的预测能力;3)通过 AMOS 17作结构方程模型分析,发现路径分析能够很好地解释动机与成绩具体的关联情况。因此,在大学英语教学中,应该调整教学策略,帮助学生增强自主动机,并将受控动机内在化。
