Collection A of Wu Songs,complied by GuXiegang early in the period of the Republic of China(1912-1949),is the original work in the compilation and researches on the Chinese modern Wu Songs,with the pioneering spirit for the new culture but the limitations for the age.There is still a lot of work to do in compiling and expanding Collection A of Wu Songs and other collections of B,C,D,E and F,from the perspectives of the historical development in time and regional spreading in space,and still a great necessity of the comprehensive and systematic combing of Wu Songs,which should focus on the literature collection and theoretical researches with realistic and innovative methodology.%顾颉刚在民国初期搜集、编撰的《吴歌甲集》,是中国现代意义上吴歌整理与研究的开山之作,颇有开启新文化的时代先锋性,但也难免有其时代的局限性.无论从时间上的历史流变,还是从空间上的地域流传来看,都有进一步补编、拓展《吴歌甲集》及其乙、丙、丁、戊、己系列的余地,都有必要对吴歌传统进行全面、系统地梳理,而且这种期待中的集成性成果应该从吴歌文献整理、理论研究两个方面着力,并力求方法上的求实与创新.
