Foreign language teaching is a course with many teaching emphasis. Cultural teaching is one of them. It is possible to cultivate humanism in foreign language teaching through cultural learning. The purpose of fostering humanism is to help the students to have a correct cognition about themselves, about the knowledge they have gained, about history. They are supposed to set up a correct value system about the relationship among human beings, between human being and the society, between human being and nature. Foreign language teaching takes great advantages in carrying out the task.
