王跃文的《爱历元年》表明其创作出现了有意识的转向，他的小说实现了从“政治”和“性爱”这两个基本维度进入文学、探索人性的创作构架；在此意义上，《爱历元年》既是“情爱之书”更是“人性之书”。《爱历元年》的写作动机缘于既是作者的也是小说中人物的“中年危机”，对“中年危机”的破解则是道德出轨和感情突围；故而，爱情更多是一种精神修行和安顿灵魂的方式，对爱情“迷失”之后“回归”的只能是婚姻。%First Year in Love is a milestone in the novelist Wang Yuewen's career,in which the two basic literary dimensions “politics”and “sex”are combined into the exploration of human nature.Hereby,First Year in Love is more of a book of human nature than passionate love.The motivation of this novel lies in the “middle age crisis”experienced by the author and the figures in the novel,and the solution is the moral and physical infidelity.In Wang Yuewen's understanding,love is just a way of spiritual cultivation while marriage is a return of love.
