支谦的《法序经·序》是中国第一篇探讨翻译的文章，这篇文章关于翻译中文与质、信与美等问题的讨论，奠定了中国传统翻译思想的核心。贯穿于整个佛经翻译和中国近代对翻译的探讨，大体上都是围绕着这些问题进行的。《法序经·序》成为中国翻译理论的滥觞，奠定了中国翻译思想的话语体系。%Zhi Qian’ s Faju Jing Xu ( Preface to the Translation of the Dharmapāda) is the first article in China to discsuss translation . The debates on “refined”and “unhewn”, “trustworthy” and “beautiful” in translation have laid a foundation of traditional Chinese thoughts on translation .Throughout the history of traditional translation theories in China , discussions on translation have focused on issues raised in this text .Being the fountain of traditional Chinese translations theories , Faju Jing Xu has laid the foundation of the discourse on traditional Chinese translation theories .
