Based on Esteban‐Marquillas extended model ,this paper studies the China's regional indus‐trial development in 2003-2008 and 2008-2013 .It finds the following :There was a certain degree of differentiation in contemporary China's regional industrial development ;T he regional gap has nar‐rowed and the development pattern changed from unbalanced development with priority in the coastal areas ,to the relatively balanced development ;T he comparative advantage of the eastern region has weakened;The industries of central and western regions developed rapidly and they became major forces of China's industrial development in the new period ;The industry structures of northeast ,cen‐tral and western regions became more reasonable ;The trend of interregional industry transfer was ob‐vious ;The eastern region's competitive advantage was falling ,while its specialization level was still relatively high ;The competitive advantage and specialization level of central and western regions were rising .%运用Esteban‐Marquillas拓展模型，对2003－2008年和2008－2013年中国区域工业发展进行研究，结果表明当前中国区域工业发展出现一定程度的分化；区域间差距呈现出缩小的趋势，沿海化非均衡发展逐渐向全域均衡发展转变；东部区域工业发展优势有所弱化；中西部区域工业快速发展，成为新时期中国工业发展的生力军；东北和中西部区域在工业结构调整方面，已取得了一定进展；工业区际转移趋势愈发明显；东部区域工业发展的竞争优势有所下降，但专业化程度高；中西部区域竞争优势和专业化程度都有明显上升。
