WILLIAM FAULKNER'S STYLE IN A ROSE FOR EMILY

摘要

The article discusses William Faulkner's style in his short story A Rose for Emily from four aspects. First, since Faulkner is regarded as a southern writer, he writes southern people and southern history in a southern county:Yoknapatawpha in most of his works. Secondly,it is also another feature of southern writers. That is the excellent rhetoric.Thirdly, it is the violation of chronology. Fourthly, the use of humor is important for us to discuss.
